Lubok Simpon is a natural pool along Tahan River, located only 1km away from Park Headquarters and accessible via boardwalk through the jungle. This wide and spacious section of the river features clean and clear waters tinged with a deep reddish - an activity of tannin percolating through the soil that is draped with thick layers of decaying leaves shed by outlying trees.
Boats travelling upstream to Lata Berkoh will pass through this pool that's popular with tourists and local families looking for a swim or picnic. From here, a boardwalk also leads up the hill to the viewpoint at Bukit Teresek.
