Due to its remote location, food options are fairly limited to traditional cuisine and local adaptations of fast food and international dishes (Western variety). The only restaurant within the park itself is Seri Mutiara Restaurant, the official park hotel's dining establishment that serves dishes and buffet spreads. Across the river, hawker stalls can be found at Kuala Tahan village.
Very popular are the floating restaurants perched across the river banks opposite Taman Negara's entrance. These floating restaurants provide tasty local food with rice, noodles, burgers and specialty freshwater fish harvested from the waters. Alcohol is available in limited quantities at the village, reflecting its Muslim demographic.
