Pantai Chendor is a beach that extends 1km northwest of Cherating, a relatively unknown and unspoilt environment enclosed within a secluded bay brimming with lush greenery. Stretching 1.5km over a sweeping expanse of sand and mudflats, the beach meets its end at a hilly cape, with pretty karst formations lined along the shore and shallow pools with inlets to the sea.
Pantai Chendor is also a nesting ground for sea turtles - visitors can hope to spot green turtles coming ashore to lay eggs at night between April and September. Chendor can be reached by a junction from the main road, which ends at a small estuary leading to the beach (via wooden bridge).
