Rimbun Dahan is a turtle hatchery managed by a local, Pak Su, for Kasturi Resort situated along the sweeping beachfront of Pantai Chendor. Between April and September each year, sea turtles come ashore on Pantai Chendor to lay eggs. These eggs are purchased by the Rimbun Dahan and incubated at the center until they hatch, with an estimated success rate of 60 percent.
The eggs hatch between 45 and 60 days, with Pak Su keeping a close eye on their progress. Open to public, the hatchery releases sea turtles every evening during nesting season, Pak Su also organises tours at night to watch sea turtles laying eggs along Chendor or Teluk Mak Nik just over the border at Terengganu.
